About Me
My name is John Kinuthia. I am the founder of Leadership TIER Consulting, and have been trained and Certified as a Trainer, Speaker and Coach by The John Maxwell Team.

I inspire people to be enthusiastic, to take action & build momentum to grow and achieve their goals. I believe that everyone has a dream that excites them and when actualized, it could change their life and the lives of others. Proper planning and ACTION separates achievers from dreamers. In my D.P.A (DREAM, PLAN, ACT) formula, I encourage people to focus on Action.

Personal Background:
My passion and enthusiasm for teaching and helping others reach their potential has always been a big part of my life. As an elementary student in Kenya, I tutored many other students. I quickly realized that inspiring and motivating others is my true calling. I received a Bachelor of Educative Arts in Teaching and Math and worked as an adjunct professor at several colleges in Kenya. I was also a co-founder and program director of Young Professionals in National Policy (YPNP), a NGO that trains young people on leadership and good governance through the promotion of Transparency, Accountability, Integrity, Peace and Participation.

Through teaching and my work with YPNP, I not only had a chance to educate and train leaders, but also a chance to inspire and coach my students and colleagues. I encouraged them to intentionally live each day with enthusiasm and positive attitude, as these are momentum generators. The results proved that this process worked.
​
In 2012, I came to the United States and worked in the finance industry for five years. I decided to leave my work in finance behind to follow my passion for teaching by starting professional speaking and training company. I now work with businesses, schools and nonprofits to develop and train their employees on personal and professional topics such as leadership, communication, gratitude culture, intentionality and facilitate team building and visioning events.
