I believe that a great leader not only looks to serve and add value to others but should also hold and promote values that bring people together. Setting a good example by living the values you speak of earns you respect and strong commitment from your followers.
We have witnessed leaders whose words consistently differ from their actions. They “preach water while they drink wine.” This is a costly blunder and in the end these types of leaders end up in despair.
It is important to define what your values are as they guide your daily decisions and strengthen your will to achieve your goals. They act as the corner stone to live a purposeful life. What do you truly value? Can you name your top two, three or five values? Have you defined your core values?
